about
The most powerful song on the EP. This song is written about beautiful moments between people and animals, being surrounded by nature; and how it is wrecked by the smallest thing. In this case, the story tells a tale of a couple taking a romantic walk in the forest embracing nature. Once they leave, a fire begins (physical or metaphorical, the meaning is hidden) which wrecks the beautiful forest and the memories that live within it.
lyrics
A feeling of pure ecstasy,
And we can see our breath in the air.
Rising gently for us to see,
Deep in the heart of the forest stare.
Forest fire,
Lake rippling in the breeze.
And the birds nest in the trees,
And they're singing their children to sleep.
And the old ones croak their whole life story,
Story, story, story, story, story, story, story.
A surge of raw emotion,
As we sit hand in hand at the edge of the lake.
Whispering trees surrounding us,
Sing sweet little songs before they break.
Forest fire,
Lake rippling in the breeze.
And the birds nest in the trees,
And they're singing their children to sleep.
And the old ones croak their whole life story,
Story, story, story, story, story, story, story.
And the birds nest in the trees,
And they're singing their children to sleep.
And the old ones croak their whole life story,
Story, story, story, story, story, story, story.
